2005 Standard Mileage Rates

The IRS announced the 2005 optional standard mileage rates, effective January 1, 2005, to use in computing the deductible costs of
operating an automobile for business, charitable, medical or moving expense purposes. The standard mileage rate for the use of a car for business
purposes has increased by one and a half (3) cents to .405 cents per mile.

SSA Form 1945, Statement Concerning Your Employment in a
Job Not Covered by Social Security

Section 419(c) of Public Law 108-203, the Social Security Protection Act of 2004 requires State and local government employers to disclose
the effect of the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset Provision to employees hired on or after January 1, 2005 in jobs not
covered by Social Security. These employees also must sign a statement that they are aware of a possible reduction in their future Social Security
benefit entitlement.
